How to join
You should complete the Application Form and send it via the website, and ask two referees to write letters in support of your application. Your referees should be scholars active in the field of Jewish Studies at universities or other higher education institutions, who are familiar with your work.
In order for the Executive Committee to be able to make an appropriate judgement of each applicant’s suitability for membership of the Association, referees should provide such details as, for example, the capacity in which they have known the applicant, the applicant’s contribution to the field of Jewish Studies, and why they think the applicant should become a member of the Association.
The referees’ letters should be sent by email to the Administrator of the EAJS, at the address admin@eurojewishstudies.org. Once your completed application form and your referees’ letters have been received, they will be forwarded to the EAJS Executive Committee for a decision. You will then be advised of the success of your application, and a subscription email will be sent to you for payment.
Please note that your membership will not be activated until your subscription payment has been made.
