Policy on posting on the EAJS website and newsflashes
1. Announcements of jobs, scholarships, courses, conferences, and calls for papers, that are relevant to Jewish Studies, will be posted free of charge on the EAJS website and/or in the Newsflashes. All postings should be sent by email to the Administrator (http://eurojewishstudies.org/contact-us/) as attachments in MS Word format, and should not exceed one A4 page in length. Please include hyperlinks to websites and/or contact emails. Note that we will not normally publish Conference programmes.
2. Announcements of publication of books (and journals, websites, etc.), whether supplied by the publisher, author, or anyone else, will also be posted free of charge in an especially designed section of the EAJS website, but NOT in the Newsflashes. All that will be allowed is name of author, title, publisher (name and hyperlink), ISBN, price, and a brief description (maximum 100 words), also in MS Word format. Longer announcements will be treated as commercial advertisements (see clause 3). Free book announcements are normally posted for three months. The EAJS requests that a copy of the book is mailed to the Administrator when the announcement is posted on the website.
3. Commercial advertisements will NOT be posted in the Newsflashes. They will be accepted for posting on the website, but only at the discretion of the EAJS Executive Committee and at a charge of £150 per item. This charge may be reviewed from time to time by the EAJS Executive Committee.
4. (Critical) book reviews will not be treated as commercial advertisements, and may be published in the EJJS and/or the website (but not in the Newsflashes), and only at the discretion of the EJJS editors or the EAJS Executive Committee respectively.
