It looks on how Polish-Jewish ideals of manliness were constructed and performed, making an argument that gender – masculinity, is a productive perspective for studying ethnic history in Eastern Europe. The areas which this project explores include diverse homosocial male spaces: yeshivot and beis midrashim, army, youth movements, sport clubs or university fraternities.
