Jan Herman Brinks has researched in modern and contemporary German and Dutch history for many years and has published several books and many articles in a range of journals of international provenance. Dr Brinks has held fellowships at the American Institute of Contemporary German Studies of the Johns Hopkins University and the German Historical Institute in Washington DC. He was a research fellow at the Zentrum für Zeithistorische Forschung in Potsdam, the Institute of European Studies in Berkeley, the University of Bath, Birkbeck College and at the Centre for German-Jewish Studies in Brighton UK.
