Awards degrees in Jewish Studies as a sole or major componentBA Hebrew Studies: The undergraduate studies are largely devoted to the intensive learning of the Hebrew language at various stages of its development. The high level of language knowledge allows you to read and analyse literary works and other cultural texts in the original. Students also learn about the basics of Judaism, Hebrew epigraphy, history of Jews and Israel, history of Hebrew literature and Israeli culture.
MA Hebrew Studies: During the MA studies, seminars and monographic lectures in the field of literary studies, philosophy and linguistics are conducted. The knowledge of the Hebrew language is also deepening. The MA seminar is held in Hebrew, as are most classes at this stage of study.

Main research activities
The Department offers a 3/5-year programme (6/10 semesters), whose graduates receive the degree of Bachelor/Master of Arts in Hebrew Studies.
The studies are largely devoted to the intensive learning of the Hebrew language at various stages of its development. Excellent command of Hebrew allows the students and the graduates to read and analyse literary works and other cultural texts in the original version. Students also learn the basics of Judaism, history of Jews and Israel, history of Hebrew literature and Israeli culture.
